Road Safety Improved in Samburu, Kwale

Deputy Commissioner of Samburu Sub-County, in Kwale County, Patrick Kilonzo Ngoru, said road safety has improved following efforts to combat property looting associated with road accidents.
Kilonzo previously said that some people were taking advantage of vehicle accidents, especially overturned trucks, to loot goods that were being transported.
He said the achievements attained are due to cooperation between the local administration, traffic police officers, and residents in strengthening safety and curbing looting activities.
Furthermore, he said efforts to protect travelers and their property continue, emphasizing the importance of all stakeholders maintaining that cooperation to sustain road safety.
However, he urged the community to continue cooperating with security agencies by reporting criminal activities. He also encouraged residents to refrain from looting the property of those affected by road accidents.
