NINE KILLED AFTER PRIVATE LEARJET 60 CRASHES IN FLORIDA, USA

Nine people died worldwide after a private Learjet 60 aircraft crashed in a residential area of Palm Beach County, Florida, United States, on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
According to a statement from the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the aircraft with registration number N722BD had nine people on board when it crashed at approximately 12:50 p.m. local time.
The aircraft had departed from Austin-Bergstrom Airport in Texas, en route to North Eleuthera in the Bahamas.
Initial reports indicate that the aircraft crashed near Military Trail in the Cresthaven area, near Greenacres, striking a residential area of people living in mobile homes.
Witnesses reported seeing the aircraft descend rapidly before hitting the ground and erupting in a large fire. The incident caused extensive damage at the crash site, with the blast effects visible on the nearby road.
U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy confirmed in a statement that all nine people on the aircraft lost their lives.
Meanwhile, local authorities evacuated approximately 600 residents from the mobile home community near the crash site, while rescue and security teams secured the area.
Earlier communications from airline and flight control officials indicated that the crew had reported encountering icy conditions, moderate turbulence, and rain before the accident. However, it has not been confirmed whether those conditions contributed to the crash.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash, with the FAA dispatching a team to assist in the investigation.
As of this report, there are no confirmed reports of deaths or injuries among people on the ground.
