FKF Calls on Kariobangi Sharks and Mombasa United to Respond Regarding Playoff Violence

The Kenya Football Federation (FKF), through the Leagues and Competitions Committee, has summoned the clubs Kariobangi Sharks and Mombasa United to appear before the committee to provide details about the violence that occurred during their playoff match, which was cancelled ahead of its scheduled time.
According to FKF's directive, each club must send two representatives to a hearing scheduled for Friday, October 9, at 4 a.m. at the Weston Hotel in Nairobi.
The meeting aims to obtain information from both sides about the events that led to the match being cancelled, before the committee decides on appropriate actions.
The incident has raised questions about discipline and safety in the country's football competitions, with stakeholders awaiting to see what measures FKF will take after hearing the two clubs' statements.
The committee's decisions could impact the clubs, depending on the investigation's findings and the competition regulations in force.
